Ingredients
Scale
1 pound ground beef (80/20 recommended for juiciness)
½ cup BBQ sauce (your favorite variety)
½ cup sharp cheddar cheese, shredded
1 teaspoon garlic powder
1 teaspoon onion powder
½ teaspoon salt
¼ teaspoon black pepper
12 slices thick-cut bacon
12 toothpicks (soaked in water if grilling)
Instructions
Preheat your grill or oven to 375°F (190°C).
In a large bowl, combine ground beef, BBQ sauce, cheddar cheese, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and black pepper. Mix until well combined.
Form the mixture into 12 equal-sized meatballs.
Wrap each meatball with a slice of bacon, securing it with a toothpick.
Place the bacon-wrapped meatballs on the grill or in a baking dish.
Cook for 20-25 minutes, or until the bacon is crispy and the meatballs are cooked through.
Serve with additional BBQ sauce for dipping and garnish with sliced green onions and pickled jalapeño slices if desired.
Notes
For extra flavor, you can marinate the meatballs in BBQ sauce for a few hours before cooking.
Make sure to soak the toothpicks in water if grilling to prevent them from burning.
Feel free to adjust the spices according to your taste preferences.
