Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 (17.5 oz) pouch sugar cookie mix ($2.29)
  • ½ cup butter, melted (for crust) ($0.75)
  • 1 egg (for cookie mix) ($0.20)
  • 2 tsp vanilla extract, divided ($0.20)
  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened ($1.49)
  • 1 cup powdered sugar ($0.50)
  • 12 oz frozen whipped topping, thawed ($1.25)
  • 2 (3.4 oz) boxes instant banana creme pudding ($1.58)
  • 3 cups cold milk ($0.60)
  • 4–6 ripe bananas ($0.98)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375F degrees and prepare a cookie sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a medium bowl, follow the directions on the cookie pouch to make the cookie batter.
  3. Drop 12 large spoonfuls of cookie dough on the cookie sheet and bake for about 13-15 minutes or until golden brown. Set aside to cool for about 30 minutes.
  4. In a large bowl, mix together cream cheese, powdered sugar, and one teaspoon of vanilla extract until smooth. Fold in about 2 cups of whipped topping.
  5. In a separate bowl, whisk together banana pudding and cold milk until smooth and thickened. Allow to sit while making the crust.
  6. Reserve 3 cookies for the top and crush the remaining cookies into coarse crumbs. Mix crumbs with melted butter and 1 teaspoon vanilla extract, then press into the bottom of a 9×13-inch baking dish.
  7. Spread the cream cheese mixture over the cookie crust, then layer sliced bananas on top.
  8. Carefully spread the banana pudding over the bananas, then top with the remaining whipped topping.
  9. Cover with plastic wrap and refrigerate for about 4 hours to set up.
  10. Before serving, sprinkle cookie chunks and sliced bananas on top. Slice and enjoy!

Notes

  • Use ripe bananas for the best flavor.
  • Keep the dessert covered and refrigerated when not serving.
