1 lb ground turkey
1/2 cup breadcrumbs
1/4 cup diced onion
1/4 cup diced bell pepper
1 jalapeño, minced
1 tsp chili powder
1 tsp cumin
1/2 tsp garlic powder
1/2 tsp salt
1/4 tsp black pepper
1/4 cup chopped cilantro
4 burger buns
1/2 cup avocado, sliced
1/2 cup salsa
Instructions
In a large bowl, combine ground turkey, breadcrumbs, onion, bell pepper, jalapeño, chili powder, cumin, garlic powder, salt, black pepper, and cilantro.
Mix until well combined and form into 4 patties.
Preheat a grill or skillet over medium heat.
Cook the patties for 5-7 minutes on each side, or until fully cooked through.
Toast the burger buns on the grill for 1-2 minutes.
Assemble the burgers by placing a patty on each bun, topped with avocado and salsa.
Serve immediately and enjoy!
Notes
For extra heat, add more jalapeños or a dash of hot sauce.
These burgers can be made ahead of time and frozen for later use.
