Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 2 teaspoons salt
  • 1 teaspoon sugar
  • 1 packet (2 1/4 teaspoons) active dry yeast
  • 1 3/4 cups warm water
  • 1/4 cup olive oil
  • 2 tablespoons fresh rosemary, chopped
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • Coarse sea salt for topping

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, combine warm water, sugar, and yeast. Let it sit for about 5 minutes until frothy.
  2. Add flour, salt, and olive oil to the yeast mixture. Mix until a dough forms.
  3. Knead the dough on a floured surface for about 10 minutes until smooth.
  4. Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover with a damp cloth, and let it rise in a warm place for 1 hour or until doubled in size.
  5. Preheat the oven to 425°F (220°C).
  6. Once risen, punch down the dough and transfer it to a greased baking sheet. Stretch it out to fit the pan.
  7. In a small bowl, mix the chopped rosemary and minced garlic. Sprinkle this mixture over the dough.
  8. Use your fingers to create dimples in the dough, then drizzle with olive oil and sprinkle with coarse sea salt.
  9. Bake for 20-25 minutes or until golden brown and crispy.
  10. Let it cool slightly before slicing and serving.
