Ingredients
Scale
1 cup unsalted butter
2 cups granulated sugar
4 large eggs
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 cup all-purpose flour
1 cup cocoa powder
1 teaspoon baking powder
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 cup pumpkin puree
1 teaspoon pumpkin pie spice
1/2 cup cream cheese
1/4 cup powdered sugar
1/2 cup chocolate chips

Instructions
Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×13 inch baking pan.
In a large bowl, melt the butter and mix in the granulated sugar until well combined.
Add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition, then stir in the vanilla extract.
In another bowl, whisk together the flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, and salt.
Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, stirring until just combined.
In a separate bowl, mix the pumpkin puree, pumpkin pie spice, cream cheese, and powdered sugar until smooth.
Pour half of the brownie batter into the prepared pan, then spread the pumpkin mixture over it.
Top with the remaining brownie batter and swirl gently with a knife.
Bake for 30-35 minutes or until a toothpick inserted comes out clean.
Let cool, then top with chocolate chips and decorative candy pumpkins before serving.
