Ingredients
Scale
1 cup unsalted butter, softened
1 cup granulated sugar
1 cup brown sugar, packed
2 large eggs
2 teaspoons vanilla extract
2 cups all-purpose flour
1/2 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 cup chocolate chips
1 cup Oreo cookies, chopped
1 cup cocoa powder
1/2 cup granulated sugar (for brownie layer)
2 large eggs (for brownie layer)
1 teaspoon vanilla extract (for brownie layer)
1/2 cup all-purpose flour (for brownie layer)
Instructions
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×13 inch baking pan.
In a large bowl, cream together the softened butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until smooth.
Add in the eggs and vanilla extract, mixing until well combined.
In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt.
Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined.
Fold in the chocolate chips and chopped Oreo cookies.
In another bowl, prepare the brownie layer by mixing together the cocoa powder, granulated sugar, eggs, vanilla extract, and flour until smooth.
Spread the cookie dough mixture evenly in the prepared baking pan.
Pour the brownie batter over the cookie layer and swirl gently with a knife to create a marbled effect.
Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
Allow to cool before cutting into squares and serving.
Notes
For a richer flavor, use dark chocolate chips.
Store leftovers in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 3 days.
Feel free to add more Oreo pieces on top before baking for extra crunch.
