Ingredients

  • 1 cup rice, uncooked
  • 1 cup chicken broth
  • 1/2 cup honey BBQ sauce
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Chopped green onions for garnish

Instructions

  1. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
  2. Season the chicken thighs with garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper.
  3. Add the chicken to the skillet and cook until browned on both sides, about 5-7 minutes.
  4. Pour in the honey BBQ sauce and stir to coat the chicken.
  5. Add the uncooked rice and chicken broth to the skillet, stirring to combine.
  6. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat to low, cover, and simmer for 20-25 minutes or until the rice is cooked and the chicken is tender.
  7. Remove from heat and let it sit for a few minutes before serving.
  8. Garnish with chopped green onions and serve warm.
