Ingredients

  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 3/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 2 large eggs (room temperature)
  • 1/2 cup pure maple syrup
  • 1/2 cup milk (whole or non-dairy)
  • 1/4 cup melted butter (cooled)
  • For glaze: 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 2 tbsp milk

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a donut pan.
  2. In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, sugar, baking powder, salt, and cinnamon.
  3. In another bowl, beat the eggs and then mix in the maple syrup, milk, and melted butter.
  4. Combine the wet ingredients with the dry ingredients and mix until just combined.
  5. Pour the batter into the prepared donut pan, filling each cavity about 2/3 full.
  6. Bake for 10-12 minutes or until a toothpick inserted comes out clean.
  7. Let the donuts cool in the pan for a few minutes before transferring them to a wire rack.
  8. For the glaze, mix the powdered sugar and milk until smooth and drizzle over the cooled donuts.

  • Adjust the amount of milk in the glaze for desired consistency.
