Ingredients

  • 3 cups gluten-free all-purpose flour
  • 1 ½ teaspoons salt
  • 1 teaspoon instant yeast
  • 1 ½ cups warm water
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, mix the gluten-free flour, salt, and instant yeast together.
  2. Add the warm water and olive oil to the dry ingredients and stir until well combined.
  3. Cover the bowl with plastic wrap and let the dough rise at room temperature for 12-18 hours.
  4. After the dough has risen, preheat your oven to 450°F (230°C) and place a Dutch oven inside to heat up.
  5. Once the oven is hot, carefully remove the Dutch oven and transfer the dough onto a floured surface.
  6. Shape the dough into a ball and place it on a piece of parchment paper.
  7. Remove the Dutch oven from the oven, lift the parchment paper with the dough, and place it inside the Dutch oven.
  8. Cover with the lid and bake for 30 minutes.
  9. After 30 minutes, remove the lid and bake for an additional 15-20 minutes until the bread is golden brown.
  10. Let the bread cool on a wire rack before slicing.

Notes

  • Make sure to use a gluten-free all-purpose flour blend that contains xanthan gum for best results.
  • This bread can be stored in an airtight container for up to 3 days.
  • For added flavor, consider adding herbs or spices to the dough.
