Ingredients
Scale
1 fresh pineapple, peeled and sliced into rings
1 cup all-purpose flour
1 cup breadcrumbs
2 eggs, beaten
1 cup vegetable oil (for frying)
1/2 cup sugar (optional, for dusting)
Instructions
Heat the vegetable oil in a deep frying pan over medium heat.
In a bowl, place the flour. In another bowl, place the beaten eggs. In a third bowl, place the breadcrumbs.
Dip each pineapple ring first in the flour, then in the beaten eggs, and finally coat with breadcrumbs.
Carefully place the coated pineapple rings in the hot oil and fry until golden brown, about 2-3 minutes on each side.
Remove the fried rings and place them on paper towels to drain excess oil.
If desired, sprinkle with sugar before serving.
Notes
For a healthier option, you can bake the pineapple rings instead of frying them.
Serve with ice cream or whipped cream for an extra treat.
Make sure the oil is hot enough before frying to ensure a crispy texture.
