Ingredients
Scale
8 chicken drumsticks
2 tablespoons paprika
1 cup heavy cream
1 onion, chopped
2 cloves garlic, minced
2 tablespoons olive oil
Salt and pepper to taste
2 cups rice
4 cups water
Instructions
Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
In a large bowl, mix the paprika, salt, and pepper. Coat the chicken drumsticks with the mixture.
In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add the chicken drumsticks and brown them on all sides.
Remove the chicken and set aside. In the same skillet, add chopped onion and garlic, sauté until translucent.
Add the heavy cream to the skillet and stir well. Return the chicken to the skillet, cover, and simmer for 20 minutes.
While the chicken is cooking, rinse the rice under cold water. In a pot, bring 4 cups of water to a boil, add the rice, and cook according to package instructions.
Once the chicken is cooked through, serve it over the steamed rice and drizzle with the creamy sauce.
Notes
For a spicier version, add cayenne pepper to the seasoning mix.
Feel free to add vegetables like bell peppers or peas to the rice for added nutrition.
Leftovers can be stored in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
