Ingredients

  • 1 large head of cauliflower, cut into florets
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 pound ground beef or turkey
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 cups marinara sauce
  • 2 cups ricotta cheese
  • 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Steam the cauliflower florets until tender, about 10 minutes.
  3. In a skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add onion and garlic, sauté until fragrant.
  4. Add ground beef or turkey, cook until browned.
  5. Stir in marinara sauce and Italian seasoning. Simmer for 5 minutes.
  6. In a baking dish, layer half of the cauliflower, half of the ricotta, and half of the meat sauce.
  7. Repeat layers, finishing with mozzarella and Parmesan on top.
  8. Bake for 30 minutes until cheese is bubbly.
  9. Let it cool for 10 minutes before serving.

Notes

  • For a vegetarian option, substitute meat with mushrooms or lentils.
  • You can add spinach or zucchini for extra vegetables.
