Ingredients

  • 1 loaf crusty Italian bread
  • 1 lb fresh shrimp, peeled & deveined
  • 1 cup cream cheese, softened
  • ½ cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • ½ cup lump crab meat (or imitation crab)
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 Tbsp butter, melted
  • 1 Tbsp chopped parsley
  • Salt & black pepper, to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F.
  2. Slice the Italian bread in half horizontally, then cut into 3–4″ sections to form individual pieces.
  3. In a skillet, cook shrimp until just pink, then roughly chop.
  4. In a bowl, mix cream cheese, mozzarella, crab, shrimp, garlic, salt, and pepper.
  5. Hollow out each bread piece slightly and fill with the creamy seafood mixture.
  6. Brush the tops with melted butter and sprinkle with parsley.
  7. Bake for 12–15 mins, or until golden and bubbly.
  8. Serve warm with a side of lemon wedges or creamy dip!

Notes

  • For a spicier kick, add red pepper flakes to the filling.
  • These can be made ahead of time and baked just before serving.
  • Experiment with different cheeses for varied flavors.
